Everyone in life is fighting a hard battle—but when you try your best to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, you have additional strength and peace to make it through.

As far as lifestyle is concerned, Latter-day Saints try to keep Jesus front and center. Their beliefs about the Savior and His teachings affect their day-to-day decisions about how they speak, dress, and act. For example, they try to avoid working on Sundays so they can attend church, serve others, and spend time with family. Faithful members of the church also do not smoke, drink alcohol, or gamble. More and more people are rejecting the idea of organized religion and prefer to just be spiritual and try to live good lives.

But people need both. You should go to church on Sundays, while also making an effort to be spiritual and serve others throughout the week. The first step is usually to meet with missionaries. They can also answer any of your questions about the Church and let you know what is expected from members.

You should also start attending worship services. You will find the joy of belonging to a community of people who care about each other and strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, once you are ready to join the Church, you can choose to be baptized and become an official member.

Lentz has been married to his wife, Laura, for 17 years and they have three children together. He admitted to the affair in an Instagram post shared publicly after he was fired from Hillsong. I was unfaithful in my marriage, the most important relationship in my life and held accountable for that. This failure is on me, and me alone and I take full responsibility for my actions. He went on to say how much he and his wife appreciate Lentz and his wife and all of their work with Hillsong over the past decade.

In his post, Lentz said that he and his family gave all they had to serve and build Hillsong NYC over the years, but now he will focus on rebuilding his family. I would have liked to say this with my voice, to you, in person because you are owed that.

But that opportunity I will not have. So to those people, I pray you can forgive me and that over time I can live a life where trust is earned again. Christians who marry nonbelievers must be excommunicated, says John Piper.By John Hall. Scroll down for video. A church in the US state of Virginia has taken the bizarre decision to allow its congregation to attend services in the nude. Pastor Allen Parker, the leader of White Tail Chapel in the town of Southampton, said he came to the decision to allow naked worship after concluding the clothing requirements of other churches were overly 'pretentious', and decided his own flock should be free to forgo such materialism if they desire.

He believes he is in good company too, claiming many of the most important moments in the Bible happened while the protagonists were nude, including Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. Freedom: Pastor Allen Parker said he came to the decision to allow naked worship after concluding his flock should be free to forgo materialism and the 'pretense' of clothing if they desire.

Equal: The idea is that nudity is 'the great equaliser', reminding all those gathered in the church that they are simple human beings beneath their clothing.

Chapel: The pastor leads the church by example, standing in his pulpit without a scrap of clothing as he reads stories from the Bible to the faithful gathered in his small rural church in Southampton, Virginia pictured.

Speaking to CNN, Mr Parker said: 'When he [Jesus] was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked.

Mr Parker is believed to have drawn at least some of his opinions on nudity from the book of Genesis, in which Adam and Eve were originally described as 'both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed'.

It was only after sinfully eating forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge that Adam and Even are said to have seen their nudity as shameful, at which point they sowed fig leaves into loincloths. Although the church allows worshipers to attend services fully naked, many have decided they would rather continue to attend fully clothed, particuarly when in mid-winter, while others opt to just reveal their breasts or genitals. The idea is that nudity is 'the great equaliser', reminding all those gathered in the church that they are simple human beings and that, beneath any personal wealth or glamorous outward appearance, they are all more of less the same beneath the clothing.

Pastor Allen Parker believes there's not a feeling that worshipers have to be physically better than one another in his church. He said: 'We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have'. Marriage: The White Tail Chapel even hosts naked weddings.

One couple to opt for the nude service were Robert and Katie Church. Although the church allows worshipers to attend services fully naked, many have decided they would rather continue to attend fully clothed, particularly in mid-winter. Different: Many worshipers opt to just reveal certain parts of their body, such as their breasts or genitals, rather than go fully nude. Taking influence: Pastor Allen Parker says many of most important moments in the Bible happened while the protagonists were nude, including Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden left and Jesus' crucifixion right.

And the pastor leads the church by example, standing in his pulpit without a scrap of clothing as he reads stories from the Bible to the faithful gathered in his small rural church. The nudity is not restricted purely to preaching, however. Several couples have recently been married in fully nude services, in which all members of both families are encouraged to shed their clothing before the couple take their vows.

Robert and Katie Church were one couple to have a naked wedding at the White Tail Chapel, with Mr Church saying atten dees were far more interested in 'hearing the wor d of God and speaking t he word of God' than analysing the naked bodies on display. Mrs Church wasn't a nudist before the couple met, but says she has since come to love the experience of going to church in the nude and now considers her fellow worshipers 'family'.

But looked at another way, the building is a time capsule. In its long history, you can follow the rise of the rave, the rehabilitation of the city, the popularity of the boutique fitness craze, and the trend toward atmosphere-centric dining. It embodies the idea that you can do anything here. The Church of the Holy Communion was initially built in the midth century, when Sixth Avenue was home to some of the wealthiest New Yorkers, like Horace Greeley, Edith Wharton, and even members of the Roosevelt family.

This group was filled with devout churchgoers, as Anglican Catholicism was on the rise at the time thanks to a well-to-do clergyman named William August Muhlenberg. Backed by the tremendous financial resources of the neighborhood, the Church of the Holy Communion was constructed right on Sixth Avenue. Its architect, Richard Upjohn, designed several other Anglican churches in Manhattan, including Trinity Church on Wall Street and Madison Square Presbyterian Church, but according to architectural historian Francis Morrone, Upjohn intended for this building to really stand out.

It sprawled all over the place. It was asymmetrical. It had rubbled stonework. It was like a country church. For a century, the congregation grew at a rapid pace, but in the s, as the area became more developed and the post-WWII religious boom fizzled out, residents started to move to other neighborhoods, or just stopped going to church altogether.

But before the Church of the Holy Communion was deconsecrated, the building was designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in —a decision that has allowed it to, in spite of its many inhabitants, exist relatively unchanged. Ineager to earn some money off the now-empty church building, whose surrounding neighborhood had become riddled with crime, the parish granted a year lease to the Lindisfarne Association, a research collective of artists, scientists, and scholars.

For a little while, the Association became a veritable cultural center in the neighborhood, bringing in names such as Wendell Berry, Gary Snyder, John Michel, and Kathleen Raine to give lectures and do readings. After only two years in the space, the Association could no longer afford the operating costs, and the church went back into the hands of the parish.

The parish turned around and sold the space to Odyssey House, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. In spite of the need and demand for such a spot the city had a rampant drug problem at the timethe non-profit did not last for long, once again due to financial constraints.

After a bidding war, Odyssey House sold the space to notorious nightclub impresario Peter Gatien. It was that or go bankrupt. Despite many public proclamations against turning a religious space into a nightclub, Gatien charged ahead in creating the Limelight, which would become one of the most infamous party spaces in New York history. But after initially bringing in a slew of A-list guests, the club became primarily what Owen calls a "drug marketplace," inviting in a lot of gangsters who profited heftily off of selling first ecstasy, then heroin.

When Rudy Giuliani became mayor inhe vowed to crack down on drugs and crime—particularly in light of the murder, which had made the club the subject of much scrutiny from the city government. After repeated closures by the city followed by several attempts by Gatien at reopening—including a rebrand under the name "The Avalon" inthe legal bills proved insurmountable, and Gatien permanently closed the club in
